Descrizione del prodotto

Self-leveling, high-quality polyurethane sealing material. Sikaflex-406 KC is one component, fast curing, flexible and has high mechanical and chemical resistance. It has been specially designed for the flexible sealing of connections between rails, the substrate and the materials of the Icosit KC system. By adding the Sikaflex-406 KC Booster accelerator, fast and homogeneous hardening of the material is obtained.

Application

The product is used for adjacent joints between steel, certain types of asphalt, granite, concrete, as well as adjacent joints in track surfaces, pavements and floors. In addition, Sikaflex-306 KC is used for expansion joints in road and airport pavements, pedestrian areas and other places where rapid commissioning is required.

  • operating temperature from -40 C to +80 C
  • working life ~ 20 min (23 C / 50% r.h.) with the addition of Sikaflex-406 KC Booster
  • dust free: without sand ~ 3.5 h (+23 C); with sand ~ 1 h (+23 C)
  • hardening time: ~ 24 h until full mechanical strength is achieved with the addition of Sikaflex-406 KC Booster; for surfaces sprinkled with quartz sand, recessed slots can be loaded with traffic of vehicles with rubber tires after approx. 2 hours (+23 C / 50% RH); dust free after approx. 3.5 h (+23 C / 50% r.h.) with Sikaflex-406 KC Booster
